Eugene graduated in Law in 1991. He has been with Madden & Finucane since January 2001.

He specialises in civil law, dealing mainly with Road Traffic Accidents, County Court Actions, Judicial Reviews, Coronial Inquests and High Court Actions. He has a particular Interest in Prison Law. He acted as team leader during the Bloody Sunday Inquiry where Madden & Finucane represented the majority of the deceased and wounded. He previously worked for Citizen's Advice Bureau, Advice Northern Ireland and the Law Centre (NI). He has represented the advice sector in Consultation on the Reform of Legal Aid and contributed to the Publication, A Debt Handbook for Advisers. He has previously been Treasurer of Advice NI and a member of the Management Committees of Advice NI and the Law Centre (NI). He has also been an occasional Lecturer in the Housing Degree at the University of Ulster.
